Portraits of Dana

One might look at my work and not necessarily peg me as a portraits photographer. And I would agree considering there’s a certain delight and creative license with photographing inanimate objects or nature. Besides, they can’t come back and complain that “I’m too fat, that’s not my good side, my mouth was open, my eyes closed” and the list continues.

No. no talking back from a flower and I if I so desire – I can change the once pink flower to green, blue, yellow and any other shade now in the lovely digital age. But can you imagine displaying your friends, family or GASP the bride in electric blue! Bridezilla and her family will hunt you down and rip you a new one. You can certainly kiss that photography career of yours goodbye!

And yet, while I am not a fan of the posed photograph it is quite fun taking candid shots. Snapping a picture of a raised eyebrow, a full open mouth laugh, or the unassuming reflective gaze across the room – don’t you just love looking back through those pictures of your photo album.

So it is with joy I share the following photo album of my dear friend Dana who fears not the camera and the moments it captures.
